Ellis Lee Crigger was the first child born to Philip Bailey and Irene Lucy Bowling Crigger. He was born on 7 October 1915 in Smyth County, Virginia.

Ellis served in WWII, and was stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI. He sustained an injury due to the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, losing a part of his hip.

Ellis married Donna May Strong of Utah sometime before 1945. They had two sons:

Stephen L.(still living)
Jan Michael 1949-2009

I found a Public Record of the family living in Provo, UT in 1950.They separated and divorced sometime after 1950.

Sometime around 1954, he had a falling out with his family in Virginia, and became estranged from them. They never heard from him after that.

It is not fully known at this time what Ellis did after that, until he turned up as a ranch hand, working on a ranch in Meagher County, Montana.

Ellis Lee Crigger died on 3 July 1974 and is buried in Mayn Cemetery, in White Sulphur Springs, Montana.
